Snow Removal at WTC

Snow removal can and has caused damage to the Washoe courts when done incorrectly.  Here are some tips that should be followed:

1. Always use the plastic shovels that are provided by the Washoe Tennis Club.
2. Never pound or chip at the snow or ice.  Damage is being done which you might not see.
3. Always move the snow to the outside of the fence. Do NOT pile it in the middle between the courts.  This causes melting, then refreezing, then melting, etc.,  and more removal problems.
4. If you see someone blowing or pushing the snow incorrectly, please remind them of the damage being done.
